In the mobile VR headline, Samsung Gear VR shipments were 489,500 units, which is the largest shipment of mobile VR heads in addition to Google’s carton specs. In the field of PC VR, Sony's PS VR also sold well, with 429,000 units shipped.

In March, IDC had estimated the global compound annual growth rate of VR and AR to be 58%, and it will reach 9.94 million by 2021. IDC expects VR and AR head-mounted shipments will reach more than 2 million units this year.
Although there were only 2.3 million VR and AR head-mounted shipments in the first quarter, there was still a long time until the end of the year. Google's Daydream headline is expected to be available at the end of this year. It will coincide with Christmas and may usher in a small sales peak.
