The 69th Emmy Awards complete the nomination name, of which three VR films were shortlisted for "Best Original Interactive Program", occupying 60% of the prize. This is not the first time that VR films have been shortlisted for Emmys. With the increasing popularity of VR works, I believe that more VR works will be shortlisted and won prizes in the future.
The short-listed films are:
"Dear Angelica"
Dear Angelica was created by Wesley Allsbrook and Saschka Unseld of Story Studio. The work was on the Sundance Film Festival in January this year and has attracted much attention from the industry. This is not the first time that Story Studio's work has been on the Emmys list. Last year, the studio's "Henry" won the "Best Original Interactive Show," which is the first time the VR film has won an Emmy.
"Mission: iSS"
The VR movie brought the audience to the International Space Station and taught you how to move and complete space missions in a zero-gravity environment, such as capsule docking and spacewalking. Can experience an astronaut, but it should be easy to make a halo, after all, the screen is a gravity-free environment, and users who wear VR watch have gravity in real life.
The People's House
This is a VR documentary produced by Canadian VR film company Felix & Paul. Former U.S. President Obama and his wife Michelle personally led the audience to visit the White House. In addition to the office of the President, the War Room and the White House South Lawn, you can also visit places that are not open to the public in reality, such as administrative bureaucrats and presidential private residences.
