Ministry of Environmental Protection sets new standard for air source heat pump water heater efficiency

In order to implement the "Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "China's National Phase-out of Ozone Depleting Substances Program" to reduce the environmental and human health impacts of industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment in production and use, the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued the "Commercial Refrigeration Equipment "Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products" for air source heat pump water heaters, water source heat pump units, unit air conditioners, air supply ducted air conditioning (heat pump) units, multi-connected air conditioning (heat pump) units, roof type The air conditioner performance coefficient (COP) made new demands.

The standard clearly states the energy efficiency requirements of air source heat pump water heaters: the common type (including primary heating and circulating heating) requires a COP of 4.4, and a low temperature type (including primary heating and circulating heating). The coefficient of performance (COP) is required to reach 3.7. The previous GB/T 21362-2008 “Commercial or Industrial Heat Pump Water Heater” and “GB/T” Domestic and Similar Heat Pump Water Heater” national standards for household appliances are specified in the standard environmental conditions. The heating energy efficiency ratio cop is not lower than 3.4, and the cycle heating energy efficiency ratio cop is not lower than 3.7. It is clear that the “Technical Requirements for Environmental Labeling Products for Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration Equipment” issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection has set higher requirements for the energy efficiency of air source heat pump water heaters.

It is understood that this standard applies to China's environmental labeling product certification and China's environmental labeling low-carbon product certification. This standard will be implemented as of February 1, 2013, and will replace HJ/T 235-2006 from the date of implementation.
