Our devices support one-way or two-way data communication to meet a wide range of proprietary wireless industrial and consumer applications such as automated metering, alarm systems, home appliance control, toys and gaming.

Our smart RF products include unidirectional devices with single emitters, bidirectional devices with dual transceivers, and high performance receivers.

All Atmel RF components are designed to work together seamlessly to ensure error-free design, integration and testing. We integrate all the components needed for base stations and mobile stations in typical remote and access control systems.

Integrated Design – With extensive experience in digital and analog design, we produce a range of RF devices that enable the industry's largest link gain and loss budget. System-level functions such as automatic transfer, frame acknowledgment, and hardware security accelerator remove the microcontroller load, reducing power consumption and computational burden.

Extensive data rate and transmission support — Our devices support data rates of 1 - 20KB/s (FSK) and 1 - 10KB/s (ASK) in Manchester mode and dual-phase mode, as well as bit-programmable implementations. Other code in mode.

1. Atmel receiver ICs are specifically designed to meet the requirements of low cost, low power RF data transmission systems. They are widely used in automotive, industrial and customer applications, including keyless entry systems for the aftermarket, tire pressure monitoring systems, telemetry, consumer/industrial remote control applications, home entertainment equipment, access control systems and security technology systems.

Designers can choose between two types of smart RF receivers:

Atmel ATA8201 & ATA8202 - These UHF ASK/FSK transparent receiver ICs are available in a 5 x 5mm QFN24 package and support popular encryption protocols such as Keeloq®. The highly integrated design does not require RF components, except for receiving antenna matching. The ATA8201 supports a 313 - 317MHz receive range and the ATA8201 supports a 433 - 435MHz receive range.

Atmel ATA8203, ATA8204 and ATA8205 - These multichip phase-locked loop (PLL) receiver devices are available in SSO20 package and support data rates from 1 - 10 KB/sec in Manchester or dual phase encoding mode. The ATA8205 supports a 312.5 - 317.5MHz receive range, the ATA8204 supports a 431.5 - 436.5MHz receive range, and the ATA8203 supports a 868 - 870MHz receive range.
