Industry's most comprehensive programmable professional video solution suite
· New suites that support "arbitrary" video interconnects: HDMI 1.4/2.0, HDCP-enabled DisplayPort 1.2, and the new 6G/12G-SDI. These Xilinx development and support interfaces will help developers support the latest industry standards such as 8K/SHV and 4K/UHD.
4K/UHD and 8K/SHV Advanced Video Processing: Xilinx supports 4K/UHD and 8K/SHV advanced all-programmable video processing through the programmable video processor provided by Xinitix's certified member Omnitek. To accelerate evaluation and development progress, Omnitek's scalable video processing suite is built into Xilinx's free reference design, the new real-time video engine, enabling developers to quickly implement 4K/UHD video systems in a matter of weeks instead of the past. It takes several months. The video processing suite enables designers to add their own differentiated video algorithms by performing key video functions such as progressive scan, zoom, overlay, and up to 60fps. Multiple instances of the video processor can be implemented on a single Xilinx device, enabling developers to create high-density multi-channel products.
· Comprehensive development platform for video: Feds Systems, a senior design services member of the Xilinx Alliance program, and Inrevium Corporation of the United States jointly launched a full range of video interface printed circuit boards (ie, FPGA Mezzanine Cards (FMC)). FMC supports HDMI 2.0, HDCP-enabled DisplayPort 1.2, and the new 6G/12G-SDI. Fidus and Inrevium also designed the ACDC8K platform based on the Xilinx Kintex® UltraScale® FPGA for 8K/SHV system development. A dual FPGA mezzanine card (FMC, VITA 57.1) onboard platform based on ArTIx®-7 FPGA is also designed, which is the industry's lowest cost 4K/UHD development platform.
Availability
Xilinx's Vivado® Design Suite 2015.1 release will provide a video connectivity solution and will support ArTIx-7, Kintex-7, Virtex®-7, Virtex-7X, Kintex UltraScale FPGA and Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC . Omnitek is now offering video processing kits for Kintex-7 and Kintex UltraScale FPGAs as well as Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCs.
