Optoelectronic News Network: How is the impact of the global financial crisis on you?
Mr. Ange Fu: There is no impact for the time being. Because we focus on foreign markets, we are still able to receive orders from existing customers, mainly in Poland, Germany, Israel, Italy and the United States. As for the domestic market, we also have new orders, and the government is also supporting local companies with timely and necessary measures.
Optoelectronic News Network: How do you stand in an invincible position in the market? What are the reasons for the failure of many Chinese companies?
Mr. Ange: First we use high quality components and improve the design to ensure that our customers' needs are met. In order to ensure the quality of our products, we implement product standardization and strengthen quality control. Although our products are slightly higher than competitors' similar products, our existing customers are still happy to continue to cooperate with us.
Second, we implemented a series of regulations and standards from management to products. And train, direct and supervise workers to comply with these rules. I make sure I have a strong management team. The company's management team is made up of a group of experienced professionals. My Quality Department is an independent departmental structure that is equal to senior management. And in the quality control measures in strict accordance with the company's standards.
I have been working hard to increase productivity. A company I know, 200 workers produce 200 square meters of LED display per month, which means that each worker produces an average of 1 square meter of LED display per month. This is very low efficiency! And cause the company's resources to wear out.
The key is to hire skilled workers who make fewer mistakes at work. The frequent movement of employees leads to extended product production schedules, and inexperienced workers bring new mistakes. I feel that China's general labor flows are large and too frequent. This is a great loss to the business. Workers don't work well together; new workers usually don't have good skills, and we have to invest in systematic training for newcomers.
Therefore, we must establish a corporate culture, provide appropriate leisure activities for employees, and care for the lives of employees. I will motivate the workers in an appropriate way, so that employees have the feeling of doing business, which is very important for building an "efficient" team. .
Many Chinese companies are unsuccessful for several reasons:
First, some companies have not invested enough in research and development and there are no new products. They are just moving forward, just trying to produce cheaper products. Foreign companies invest 10%-20% of their revenues in new product development. Many Chinese companies are far behind in this respect.
Second, some factories do not have enough respect for workers. Low wages, poor living environment and working conditions, there is not enough free time to participate in social activities, employees are less motivated and have greater mobility. Therefore, their production efficiency is low.
Third, participating in the “price war†in order to win new customers is not a successful strategy for sustainable business. Putting the price to the bottom line is hard to avoid affecting the quality of the final product. This leads to a high percentage of product defects and brings a lot of trouble to the end customer.
In addition, the lack of proper after-sales service in overseas markets, the lack of good communication between customers and manufacturers, will also disappoint customers, and have to spend time looking for more reliable suppliers.
Optoelectronic News Network: How do you deal with the global financial crisis?
Mr. Ange Fu: We want to reduce the production of expensive high-end products, and more to the production of people's daily necessities, these are products that have a good market in the recession, such as LED lighting products.
Yes, we are facing a global financial crisis, and many private companies have reduced their spending to a minimum in order to survive this difficult time. However, at this time, in order to maintain local economic growth, governments will introduce various measures to stimulate domestic demand and support local industries.
So I expect that we will increase the number of orders from governments around the world. Governments in many countries will start buying LED street lights, LED lighting fixtures for public buildings. Especially in Europe and America. We are also developing AC LED products that work directly from AC without the need for a power supply.
Optoelectronic News Network: What do you think about the future of China's LED industry?
Mr. Ange Fu: After a new generation of Chinese students returning to China from famous Western universities, they will combine the values and ideas learned in the West and the new ways of thinking into China more creatively, which will greatly promote China. The development of the LED industry.
So far, China has been regarded as a great global manufacturer. In the near future, China will be recognized as a great inventor of high-tech.
Optoelectronic News Network: What is your performance in 2008? What is the forecast for 2009? Will layoffs?
Mr. Ange Fu: Our sales in 2008 was about 300 million yuan. We will double in 2009. We will not lay off staff, we still have new orders to complete.
